Bio

We (Matt, 39 & Liz, 32) are a Kiwi couple who are moving to Aus from Wellington. I (Matt) am a certified builder, and had my own building company back in Wellington. In my spare time I like to do jiu jitsu, travel, photography, gardening and hiking. Liz is a communications manager in the govt sector. She is also crazy about travel, Pilates, yoga, and all things wellness. Dora is our lovely little domestic shorthair cat. We have had her since she was 3 weeks old and she has been raised to be an impeccably clean, housetrained girl who refuses to claw anything other than her designated scratching post. While she adores people, she is a bit of a diva around other cats & dogs. We are big on fostering great relationships with flatmates and landlords/property managers, as this makes everyone’s lives so much better. We are fastidiously clean, house-proud, respectful and quiet, but also more than happy to relax and have yarns over a wine or two. As we are not in Perth yet, the plan is to secure a rental and I move over first, with Liz & the cat following a few weeks later once I have begun working. We have a substantial amount of savings, so can easily pay a few month’s rent in advance for peace of mind if preferred. We also have glowing references and are more than willing to Zoom/Facetime for a meet & greet to see if we’ll be a good fit. Happy to answer any and all questions!
